Stay safe, and for goodness sake don't go play in it lol. Been through minor tornado's where I live but never a hurricane.

Good luck! We had it this week and my flight going through MIA was canceled for tomorrow Sad It wasn't bad here, hopefully it won't be too bad...

He is headed this way too. By two AM tomorrow morning we will be in the storm. Already getting wind, not gusty, but for those who have ever been to fl, we dont get a steady breeze unless your on the shore... I am inland... steady breeze at about 5mph at the moment.

Luckily that central area (not yet an eye) is supposed to stay off shore! If this thing pulls another charley and comes straight over my house I will not be happy.

My Oldest BD lives in Fla. She had taken the kids to the beach yesterday (daytona) she said all of a sudden the tide came in flooded the beach, exits filled up with water. She was in a large pickup truck and got off the beach in time, but said she has no idea if the smaller cars made it off. Said one min it was fine and the next WHAM! water all the way up to the wall.... good luck to ya all.

Thank you everyone for thoughts. I'm a little paranoid. My daughter was one for Katrina and we almost died. I'm so paranoid about these things especially with it hitting on the anniversary of Katrina.

Thank you ma'am. I don't think it will be huge. But it definitely has me hyperventilating! Lol

SD16 (Southern LA) is probably going to get directly hit by Isaac - about 24 hours after DH gets hit with Typhoon Bolaven. (DH is in Korea participating in an exercise, but they've mostly evacuated their tent city now)

And there's not a damn thing I can do except pray for them - that's the most frustrating part.

bizarre trifecta here on the west palm side: tornado warning, tropical storm warning, flood warning. Very wet, ugly, miserable, but we still have power. and it looks like its veering away from the gulf side of FL... let's all get thru the night.
