Skid's mother blames me for menstrual mishap.

My boyfriend's toxic cunt of an ex bitched him out by text yesterday because SHE sent her daughter who will be 10 tomorrow over for the weekend without pads.  Step daughter never actually asked for pads.  She had been using TP.   This makes me feel bad.  Obviously I would have gladly bought her pads, though I don't understand why I was supposed to know she needed them.  I'm not her mom.  I'm not even her step mom.  What the fuck.

I'm just the lady who pays the mortgage and utilities and trys to make ends meet and tries to put on a fake smile on visitation weekends.  Apparently I'm now also responsible for charting her 9 year olds menstrual cycle.

I consider it a small miracle that I was able to make it through the weekend WITHOUT knowing that she was on her period, Frankly.  Progress for sure.

How are you responsible for this stuff in her mind, and not your SO? Just because you are female? He's the father.

She is the girls mother, not you. A simple "SD is having her period, please get her some xyz pads. Thanks" is all that was needed. Just go out, buy a packet and give her 8 to use at your place. Do not give her the entire packet because it will find its way back to her mothers place.

Your SO managed to procreate with her. Let him deal with her and her toxic mouth.

Was she expecting you to be able to sniff out her hormone levels or something like an animal? Seriously wtf? Just tell DH to keep somewhere stocked for her since I'm guessing she feels uncomfortable asking.

Right that's what I mean- just say here this is where they will be if you need them, so she doesn't have to ask.

I had a cone to Jesus with my partner and told him I expected him to keep her ENGAGED all weekend.  No sitting in the basement on the tablet.  Structured activities and you're in the same room.  It has helped.  There haven't been any incidents this weekend.  (knock on wood)
