My jeans are too tight

SS is a major grumpass in the mornings. I don’t really care because I don’t deal with him. DW has to scream at him to get up. Then when he does decide to get up, he whines for DW to pick his clothes out of his dresser. Why SS is not able to do this himself is beyond me but remember we are talking about a teenager who still tries to get his mother to butter his toast. DW will pick his clothes (again, I don’t know why she enables him but that is the subject of another discussion) but then SS will whine about his jeans being too tight.

If you use a dryer, you know that jeans are tight the first time you put them on. You need to give them time to stretch. That’s what we keep telling SS. SS insists that they are “too small” and could DW fetch him another pair. DW bought SS a whole new wardrobe for Christmas so there is no way SS is without clothes.

So every morning it is the same routine: DW yells at SS again and again and again….SS then whines to DW to pick out clothes for him. DW does so. SS whines that his jeans are too tight. There are other “teenager complaints” but the “My jeans are too tight” is a running theme with SS in the mornings

My task in the morning entails dressing up BS and BD (who are 4 and 2). They can be quite the handful. I usually change them in our bedroom. BS complains about the overhead light hurting his eyes when I change him. BD thinks this is a game and tries her best to streak around the house in her birthday suit before I grab her, pin her down and try my best to throw some pants and a shirt on her while she is trying to Ninja-kick me.

Anyways, this morning I was in one of those }:) moods.

After I got BS and BD changed, I asked them if they would like to get me changed. BS and BD were overjoyed at the opportunity to "dress-up" Daddy. Except I decided to turn the tables on them. I started running around the bedroom trying to avoid getting clothes put on me just like BD does to me. After I let BS and BD pin me down on the bed, they tried to put my socks on me. I was flailing about. BS and BD were squealing! I then shouted “Light hurts my eyes!” (exactly like BS does). Obviously I was having fun giving them a taste of their own medicine.

When it came time to put my pants on, I started whining. “My jeans are too tight! Mom! My jeans are too tight!”

DW heard me and she shook her head in amusement, called me a “giant dork”. The kids were loving it though. After they finally got me changed, they wanted me to take off my clothes so they could change me again!

SS was none too pleased however.

I get to work and I receive this text message:

SS: Stop making fun me.

I wasn’t sure what SS was talking about so I didn’t reply at first. When I figured it out, I asked him if he was talking about this morning. SS wrote back yes.

Me: Tell you what. If you manage to get up in the mornings without complaining or your Mom yelling at you, I’ll stop.

No response.

Holy crap..this is a teenager right? He still does this because DW still picks out his clothes!!

I am actually surprised that your DW was ok with you making fun of the golden child.

You know what bugs me even more? See those "Low rise" jeans on guys where the waist-line of the jeans is worn around the ass-cheeks and the top is boxers. Didn't that style start in prison?

ETA: A quick net search identifies this as "sagging"

Lol

This was brilliant!

I love my jeans too, but unfortunately the regular stores assume that a man my waist size must be 7½ tall. So while I can find a pair that fits nicely, they won't look good because I have to cut off half the leggings.

Contrarily, if they look good, I better make sure I don't have to do anything that day that entails bending, crouching or even LOOKING at a donut *LOL*.

ROTFL!! Fearless!!

But seriously, you guys dry your jeans in the dryer? I NEVER dry my jeans in the dryer, I always hang them up. If I put them in the dryer they would shrink too much.

I don't like wearing tight jeans and don't like wearing others also.Nowadays ,guys are preferring to wear loose jeans which goes down that looks weird. If jeans properly dressed up with trendy t-shirts it looks adorable. You can buy lot of varied t-shirts that can be dressed up with jeans .For more collection of dresses check out some t-shirts like Spongebob t-shirt,Batman Beyond Hoodie,Superhero Costume t-shirts and many more at http://www.animationshops.com/ .
