You should make him take over the loan payments, as you took it out to cover for his share of expenses.

Yup, and he's dragging you under. You'd be better off emotionally and financially w/out him.

I hate to say it but I agree... He needs $300 a month for "double insurance" ? That seems pretty damn fishy to me...

Leave him.

Do it now before he spends another penny of your money and wastes any more of your time. Nothing has changed. His behavior has gotten worse. He's not responsible and he's not being fair to you. Does that sounds like a good relationship to you? If your daughter came to you and said she was in your relationship, would you encourage her to stay? No, you'd tell her what we are telling you. He's a user. The sooner you're rid of him, the better. Good luck. I wish you weren't going through this. In your heart, you know you'd be better off without him and his mountain of problems.
