Calling all moms with boys!

dbsojo's picture

As usual, I need help, and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Here's the deal: I'm in the midst of trying to plan a WWE (pro wrestling) birthday party. Anyone who has tried to do this in the past several years knows what's coming next. I need, in particlular, some ideas for games and decorations (I've totally given up on supplies!). I've got the cake figured out (a 3-D wrestling ring), and a pin the belt on the champ. If anybody has any ideas, I would love to hear them.

Thanks!

Have the boys imitate their 'favorite' wrestler and everyone has to figure out who it is, NO SOUNDS/WORDS ALLOWED!... just gestures like you would with charades, like what ever little quirk that that wrestler is known for, or does a certain look, etc. (And since they all pretty much do the same thing, should be pretty funny and interesting to watch... lol) Give the players a time frame to guess it in- minute. The first person to shout out the correct wrestler in the time frame, gets to go next.

Another thing is to get a bunch of balloons, (dark colors that you can't see through work best) stick messages inside one of them, fill a room (birthday boy's bedroom would work best- or a small room.) full of balloons (no helium.. just blow them up and let them lay on the floor), and have the boys do a 'treasure hunt' with them. Stick fake messages in some to throw off the 'rattle give away', or put as many messages as you would like. Maybe put a dollar in a few of them, etc. The messages could be trivia questions to wrestling and they have to answer the question in a time frame as soon as they get the message to get a prize. Have them partner up with someone, so they work as a 'team'- like 'tag team'.

Or, you have them all line up along the wall, they chose a partner, and just ONE person from that 'team' gets to run around until they find a balloon with a message, have to pop it, yell out the message to their partner, they have to answer it... if they get it right (give them a-b-c answers to make it easier for young young kids) and if they get it right, they tag them, and they go for the next balloon... until all the balloons are popped. Whoever has the most 'messages' in their pocket wins.
