Holiday selfishness

This kid, I swear.....I want to hug him one minute and punt kick him in the butt the next.
SS17, on the autistic spectrum, high functioning, but still just DOES NOT GET IT.
He approached DH last week showing him a link on Amazon with something he wanted to get his sister for Christmas. DH says "that's nice" and SS says he's going to send DH the link. Whatever for, SS?
So after several back and forth painful questions of why all this was needed, and SS NEVER at any point ASKED for anything....
SS17: I need you to order it
DH: How are you going to pay for it?
SS17: What? I don't have any money!! **with the most snotty attitude**

Then came a discussion of how this is NOT the way to ask for something, that he did have PLENTY of money from his summer job that he decided to blow on Nerf guns, Legos, and junk food for himself. NO, DH did not order anything for SS.

Yesterday, SS17 shows me some work gloves he wants to get DH for Christmas and asks about sizes, if I think he'll like them.....yep, OK, size medium.
Then he says he'll send me the link. Whatever for, SS?
So after several back and forth painful questions of why all this was needed, and SS NEVER at any point ASKED for anything....
SS17: I need you to order it
Me: How are you going to pay for it?
SS17: What? I don't have any money!! **with the most snotty attitude**
Yes, word for word, the same convo as he had with his Dad.
I blasted this kid until he withdrew to his room in tears. Good. Then I followed him blubbering upstairs and blasted him a few more until he got to his room where he pouted the rest of the night.
Snotty, selfish, little brat. During said blasting, I asked him if he thought he knew me, you know, after 10 years..... he says, yes. I asked him then on what planet he thought I would respond to such a DEMAND. And that his selfish, entitled, ungrateful behavior was completely unacceptable. AND, if it was up to me, he'd be donating the majority of his presents to charity AND spending his free time at a local soup kitchen.
And I told him that he has completely lost the meaning of Christmas, and if he was embarrassed or ashamed while everyone is opening gifts, but nothing is from him....that GOOD, he SHOULD be. There was a lot more, but you get the gist.
It's shit like this that has made me not like Christmas as much as I used to. And Christmas was THE family celebration for us when I was a kid.
Even when times were tough and presents were few, we STILL sang, and cooked, and laughed, and celebrated together. And I resent the SHIT out of skids that have made the holidays LESS for me.
Yes, I have had plenty of blame on DH and BM for their less than stellar parenting in the past, but this time it's on SS17. He's had plenty of experience where the kids did chores for cash and did their Christmas shopping, but his older sisters always took the lead. We have also had
plenty of convos with SS that he is now old enough to take the lead for gift-giving and we would help out, etc, etc......
So this blog is about SS17 being a selfish dick.

I have NEVER deleted a comment before, but if people don't bother to read, I can't be bothered to respond to nonsense, repeat myself constantly, or have nonsense on my blog.
And comparing me to the Sandwich Nazi from my previous blog? Apples and asparagus....not EVEN the same.

SS approached DH this morning and asked for help ordering presents. Since he asked politely and agreed to do chores to cover the cost, DH ordered stuff for him.

I hate rudeness, it is one thing that really riles me up.

I'm glad your SS seems to have learnt a little politeness after his two attempts at demands. Hopefully it sticks!
