SD 20 update

So she's been here in my state/town for 2 weeks now and thankfully I've seen hide nor hair of her.  DH told her when she can secure insurance for the car we are willing to give her to let him know, and we'll sign it over to her, but that she is not going to drive our car around again (like she did last summer) on our insurance.  Funny thing is, when I drove past BM1 house on my way home from work last night, I noticed that GBM car that has been sitting up by the garage, with no plates for almost 2 years now was in a different spot in the driveway, like it's been driven, so I'm wondering if SD is driving that?  If she is I would bet every last cent to my name that they just plopped the old plates on it (without registering it) and that they don't have insurance on it either. BM1 in infamous for, in fact had a warrant out for her arrest just last year for aggravated unlicened operation of a motor vehicle, thinking the rules don't apply to her and as long as you don't get caught, who cares?  Here's to hoping these idiots get caught!

We had  a pipe burst during a horrible cold spell during the winter and are just now getting around to starting repairs on the house, which include ripping the floor up in BS8 room.  DH suggested that BS8 move his room downstairs into SD old room since BS8 doesn't really like to hang out in his room since it's upstairs, BS8 agreed, so we did that this past weekend and he LOVES his new room.  Once the floors are replaced, I'll be making BS8 old room my work out room and moving my elipticle and treadmill from the basement up there.   The best part is, that every last detail of this was DH idea, so nobody can say I was trying to "push SD out" !  Granted we still do have 2 spare beds in the house, but one is in the basement in DH hunting room, no TV or anything, and the other will be in my workout room which is right across the hall from our bedroom, and also no TV or anything, so can't imagine any skid wanting to come and stay.  YIPEEEEEEEE  For the first time in forever and ever I am starting to feel "safe" from skids in my house!!

Hi Daizy, I haven't been on for a long time LJCapp.  But I'm back and seeing the same ol' sh*t and no matter how old these skids are they are still in your face.

My question is why are we still taking care of 20+ year old kids?  I mean I get it for the most part when they are in college and need help, etc.  But why is this generation so dang needy?

In 1992 I moved out when I was 17, worked, had my own car and apartment and never asked for anyone for anything.  It's a matter of pride, independence and self-reliance this generation is lacking. I was always and still am ashamed to ask my parents for money.  I would take a second job before I asked for anything, but these kids just stand around with their hands out.

My BF is still paying for his daughter's hair appointments she's 23 years old!!!!  I would be ashamed of myself asking my dad to pay for a haircut.
