Things Said

Another peaceful disengagement weekend.
Had to engage a bit more today though since DP ate something that disagreed with him yesterday and he wasn't feeling that great and didn't stray far from the bathroom.

SDs clean clothes piled up in the laundry room because no one removed them from the dryer and no way was I folding them. I suspect they will remain there tomorrow at which time I will move them to DPs office. The leggings left on the floor in trash, SD12 about ready to lose another pair of socks to trash.

Overheard:
DP to SD12: Are you going to clean your room this weekend? When? It's easier to do it in small time increments. Set your timer to 15 minutes and see how much you can get done.
(Yeah, nothing done)

SD12 to me, random chattering: When I was really little mom used to sit me on the kitchen counter and let me eat the sugar.

SD9 to me when we were out for a walk: ...But eating delicious food here isn't something special it's a daily thing.

those days when i used to do laundry i would throw ss clothes in the washer without even putting any detergent on them. literally the clothes just got wet thats all. Then i would picked up his dried clothes and put it on the table. The clothes will stay there for days if i dint say anything. Only couple of days later dh would called his son to pick it up. If ss14 made me upset with his rude disrespectful snotty behavior which happens 24/7 i would just throw his clean clothes on the floor and sometimes i even stepped on..do i care? Of course not.

ss14 never listens to me no matter how many times i reminded him or even posted a sign in the bathroom not to flush toilet at certain times. So when it finally happens, he woke me up at 2 in the morning to clean an overflow toilet filled with his urine. Of course i was furious. No no...darling son dint wake his darling daddy to do the dirty work but stepmom the one who has to do all the cleaning up. Do i get a thank you for all the dirty jobs and kindness i done? NOPE.I was treated like a trash.

OMG Sally - No!
I said, "Oh SD12 don't tell me things like that..." I was joking but she got it. I changed subject real quick and I don't tell her to do ANYTHING related to chores. The only exception is if I am in the kitchen and she brings a dirty dish to the sink (miracle of miracles). If the dishwasher is available then I tell her to put her dishes INTO the dishwasher. But I found out I have to be specific, not just "dishes." "SD12, please put your bowl, small plate, fork, and glass into the dishwasher."

I accidentally engaged at dinner (argh I wasn't thinking) and yet again, DP undermined me. I won't go into it as it was pretty small but it's just that little itty bitty reminder to NOT get engaged.

Overall, I slept excellent!

What I did...
DP "Undermine, undermine, undermine."
Me: Death stare at DP.
Me: "SD12, go ahead, do whatever you want."
DP: "But, but, but..."
Me: Bending over to pet the cat, "Good kitty!"

Conversation over.
