I really am writing a book. I started in January before the Coronavirus literally trapped me in stephell lol

The book is fiction but Im afraid my husband will see that the evil step children act just like his little brats but they are all 100% fictional characters

My BS's girlfriend attends college in Ohio and they were sent home until early April, and we out here in CA are just sending out e-mails to remember to wash your hands good and the schools have put out extra hand sanitizing stations, lol.

I don't know how I feel about this. I want the skids in school but if this is the pandemic we are being told it is then maybe we should stay home. I bought lots of skid friendly food, pasta, mac n cheese etc in case we need it.

It's a big deal. I'm in the epicenter of it here in the U.S.  And I am so lucky to work at one of the research institutes that is studying it - it's no joke.  The entire center is mostly shut down (along with many other businesses) and only essential staff are going in.  There's shortages in the grocery stores. Severe social isolation is the only way to prevent the spread.  People have it, but they aren't sick yet - but they will be.  Very soon they will be.

Schools are out 6 weeks here.

I'm luckly I can work from home, but it's been exhausting changing schedules for researchers, labs, other staff, etc.  Just awful.  And I'm hoping we can convince the rest of the country this is bad.  However, I think some states are going to be cavalier about it and then it'll be truly out of control.

So everyone - only go out into public if needed.  If you touch anything, do NOT touch your face.  Wash your hands for a minimum of 30 seconds with lots of soap, soap does kill it.  Bring hand sanitizer and/or hand wipes with you.  Use kleenex.  Keep your house surfaces clean.  Stock up on extra cold meds and take them as the box states, no skimping if you do get sick.  The U.S. has been horribly behind this one but scientists are coming to the rescue as fast as possible!

Thanks for this info, Cover.  That's good advice.

We just cancelled our spring break vacation.  It just seemed inconsiderate and irresponsible to go.  Skids don't know yet, because they're on vacation with their mom right now.  I hope they don't bring any viruses home with them!  We haven't been able to find hand sanitizer in a couple weeks, and toilet paper is gone, too.  I went grocery shopping today and the shelves are pretty bare.  No bread, no eggs, no frozen vegetables, no shelf stable milk, no spaghetti, there'd even been a run on spam!

Only a few days ago I was joking with DH, telling him that if the skids don't have school dont tell them and we will send them out to the bus stop and make them stand there till 3:00 p.m. and then they can come home. Justkeep them standing out there...the bus is coming  just stay there!

No point in cancelling school and then sending kids to daycare.  BM is paying me $200 a week to stay home with the kids.  Im home anyway but I demanded it or they stay with her.  She gave us $400 already.  She is prepaying lol. She nor her husband wants these kids in her house.

DH is the breadwinner.  He makes twice what I make when we both work full time but now that I work full time he makes 4 times as much.  Him not working is not really an option unless things shut down.  He's home today because he knows he will only have about 3 days worth of work.  The kids listen to me and fuck with him so we'd be better off with him at work.  I have to listen to the cnstant arguing and back talking.  There is almost no backtalking to the evil step mama

Stepping into Hell?

Every county is closing starting Monday in West Virginia.  We don't even have 1 person that has tested positive, as of now.

For the first time in 30 years, I do not have to watch kids, step kids, or grand kids.

I work for the state's Higher Education Agency in the data center.  With all the higher ed and k12 going to more online learning, my staff and  I will have to assist the users and faculty and keep the network and systems running.  I'm going to suck up every minute of overtime and then pay for a nice vacation when this is over.

In the south, certain shelves are empty too.. No TP, no rubbing alcohol, no house hold cleaning supplies, no Disinfectant wipes,

Food doesn't seem to be a problem. What I did notice is the HUGE bags of rice are gone,,,completely gone.

TIP---if you cant find T.P., you will be able to find flushable wipes.

THANKS CLOVE for your comments.

Edit to add, I made the observation about rice only as a TBA, I could not cook raw rice if I tried. lol Giveme the stuff you throw in a mircro wave for 90seconds.
