So I'm writing a novel about a 31 year old woman gets involved with a 40 year old man with 2 kids and ends up pregnant, married and dealing with 2 unruly skids, a Disney dad of a husband and an ours baby who is stuck being raised in Stephell.  I started writing in January and have a list of things that will happen to step mom, like getting stuck with the kids, getting treated poorly, pretty much my life but I change the details A LOT and I definitely over dramatize it for effect.

Anyway looking at my list of ideas that I made before quarantine, my main character begins to work from home due to having a baby and there is a flu outbreak at the school and the school closes for a week or two. Disney dad decides that the kids are going to stay with him during the school closure which means step mom has to work from home with her ours baby and the 2 skids.  Weird that I came up with that idea before Covid and now so many smoms are dealing with this bs with the Covid closures.

You need to rewrite that Jumanji sh*t and have this whole pandemic disappear and kids go back to school and life go back to normal...do it now...stop the spread of 2020...lol.

I didn't even get to that chapter yet, she is just meeting the kids. The first chapters are set in 2005 and the ending is set in the present so I may or may not add Covid.  I'll end the story before Covid or come up with a way to add to the story.

Dont forget the part where the SK steals from SM, where another one is busted for drugs and the part where DH defends it all.  Lol.

make sure to make the man say to the step mom at some point...."you knew I had kids when you met me".

then when biodad steps up a speck, have skids spy on SM and her house then report back to BM who promptly calls CPS bc biodad put a skid in timeout for once.

Sprinkle in the ongoing "missing skid clothing" and BM roach motel where skid clothing, toys check in but they never check out

I'm trying not to have the main character be too much like me, but she is a nice and happy with her life, independent girl who becomes bitter, mean and manipulative but when you are surrounded by manipulative, evil liars you become the same to survive.

My main character goes from smiling with 'sparkling eyes' to having no smile. Her husband notices these things in the story so you can see her transformation. It really is the story of my life with some details changed. My husband has not read any of it and he is not going to like it
