I'm a "NEAT FREAK"???!!!

ccbj's picture

BD just talked to BM about the whole mess and she's now telling her children not to bother about anything I say because I'm a "neat freak".

OK, I admit it! If not wanting the children to smell like cat piss, being angry that the night before a week's vacation to California the BM sends over 2 garbage bags of wet clothes for me to pack, having a problem with all their clothes being washed in one load, their hair smelling like it's not been washed in two weeks, the kids looking like orphaned hillbillies.............I'M A NEAT FREAK!!!!!!

ewwwww.....A neat freak??? Basic hygiene and cleanliness does not make you a "neat freak"..Sounds to me like the problem is that "the BM" is a slob..

Sounds to me like their mother is extremely neglectful toward her children. It's one thing to be a slob when it only affects "oneself", but for her children to smell like that and appear unclean I would say constitutes abuse. I would be calling Child Protective Services and report it.
She sounds like an idiot. She should be thankful someone is helping to take care of her kids and see to their needs...seeing as how she isn't.

If the kids appear dirty and unclean, imagine their living conditions at home! If they come to you smelling like cat piss, what does the rest of the house smell like? They may be living in filth and having to live in a house where any kind of animal feces are present is unsanitary and a health risk to the children.

Talk to the kids...subtly ask questions, see what you can find out...then report it.

If not you, Then Who??? Someone has to look out for the helpless children of mindless assholes like that.

Just my opinion...for what it's worth.

Hang in there!

If her children are in such a constant state of uncleanliness, I would wonder what type of living conditions they're having to reside in! A call to DCS might be appropriate if you suspect abuse or neglect. IMHO I think you should continue being a "neat freak" for the sake of those poor children. At least they'll be clean and have proper hygeine when they're with you!

I have been accused of the same.

I guess the skids must have told her my house is clean.
Dk still makes comments to this day about me being a neat freak.

Once she told BF that the only reason he is with me is because he wanted a Mommy to cook and clean for him.

BF told me he has eaten more home cooked meals with me in the past year than in his entire 15 year marriage.

You gotta laugh. Maybe you and I should start some support group for people that enjoy having a neat home.

Nymh's picture

That is my kind of group...though I don't think it should be a support group because there's nothing wrong with us!

BTW when SS walked into our home for the first time, he was on the phone with his mom. We heard him say, "Wow Mom, this place is spotless!"

I am considered a neat freak too I guess I like to have food put in the trash when persons are done...I like to have wet towels hung up and not on a bundle on the floor, I like glasses put in the sink instead of lying around the house
geez is there a cure?? I starting to feel weak!

lol. I think it's funny that people like DK, who has absolutely NO cleaning skills what so ever, wants to make it seem like somethings wrong with us. The BM's are just jealous.

Your skids will appreciate it when they get older and they'll see where the real problem lies.

My house is constant chaos with no one INCLUDING DH as much as I love him dearly, picking up after themselves. I am a hamster in a cage running around losing my mind in a sea of clutter.

The two year old and ten year old are my only helpers.

BM likes to tell DH I need to get a job or a life because I try to "over correct" SD all the time.

Peace, love, and red wine
