SD Bday

capp1978's picture

SD's bday is tomorrow.  In years past we've had a bday party with our families for SD, which always included me cooking a meal of her choice, getting a cake, gifts and inviting both DH & my family to our house.  I haven't even brought it up her bday to DH this year.  Since I'm blocked on all social media, I haven't seen this but a family member told me she posted a meme that read "I don't understand why when you get older your family stops giving you money for your bday.  Like I need money more now than I did when I was little, I'm starving Susan."  This has now become her annual post.  Is it me or is this rude?  I mean it can be funny if posted differently but to continually post this the day before your bday?  To me this is basically asking for handouts and she's expecting money.

I think its in poor taste but I guess that's to be expected coming from your SD. I'm glad you are not doing all the work for her birthday or even brought it up to your H. With an attitude like that she doesn't deserve anything if you ask me.

That's not very classy. If I were inclined to give someone who posted that a gift, it would not be cash.

I agree!  In years past I have always told my family not to give her cash.  I told them she needed gift cards.  If she had cash it would be wasted on cigarettes, vapes, and booze.

You should tell people she wants books, socks & underwear. The punishment gifts. Lol. I havent been blocked by SD yet...I dont think. I should check!

You are not busting your butt to make her a nice b-day. After reading how she treats you and DH, she deserves not much.

I love the entitlement oozing from her post. Why is she so entitled? Oh yeah, because she exists...

Oh the entitlement of these aholes. SS34’s GF told us that she wanted a $100+ Keurig for her birthday from us.   She got a $30 Mickey waffle maker because the gskid loves Mickey. But that was a few years ago before I disowned all of them.

Yeah that meme would only be funny if she was actually a responsible, decent human being.  Guess she's feeling the results of evil SM disengaging and daddy dearest not being able to organise a piss up in a brewery. Wink
