Good freaking morning.

Let me start out by prefacing that it's not always like this. Lord knows if it was that I wouldn't have stuck around as long as I have, but this morning has been particularly annoying and I need to vent!

I woke up with DD19 months at 8ish like I always do on the weekends. She usually wakes up and yells "Mommy!" a few times, and since our room is across the hall from her she's pretty easy to hear. DH doesn't move a muscle, that man could sleep through a bomb being dropped on our front lawn. DD is in a particularly sassy mood, but I deal with her and we get through breakfast with minimal whining.

Then the skids wake up, bounding down the stairs like a herd of elephants even though they both are incredibly skinny for their ages. This riles up DD, who immediately wants to play with them. They blow her off since a one and a half year old is completely annoying to 8 and 10 year olds. and continue to ignore her despite her trying to hug/be sweet to them. I get it, normal sibling crap, no big deal. I was trying to pay some bills and check their school progress books online, but both skids were being obnoxious and kept wanting to talking to me about SOMETHING every 2 seconds, then fighting over the computer, then raiding the kitchen and asking if they can eat marshmallows for breakfast (um...no. Why would you even ask?).

I make some coffee for DH because after about three hours it doesn't appear that he is planning on getting out of bed anytime soon, and I know he has to be at our church/his work in an hour to meet with someone he's leading a group with. When it's done brewing I find him upstairs in our room happily playing freaking Candy Crush on his iPad. Here I was thinking I was letting him sleep in, but no...he was fully awake and hiding upstairs...and I know for a fact he could hear that chaos that was happening with all the kids downstairs. Why would I think it would occur to him to help his pregnant wife in the hour or two before he had to leave for a meeting? AM I JUST EXPECTING TOO MUCH?

I drop off his coffee without a word and head back downstairs into the warzone. The skids are hungry again and of course it's too much to ask that they prepare their own sandwiches, so I start making food and DD has a meltdown because SS knocked her over on accident. I hear my phone vibrate and see it's a message from DH saying "you should probably put DD down for a nap. She sounds tired."

CAN YOU BELIEVE THE NERVE OF THIS MAN? I'm up since 8 (it's now almost noon) tending to the various needs of HIS CHILDREN and in the middle of me making lunch he decides to TEXT ME and tell me what I should be doing? PLEASE. (Sorry for all my sassy caps.)

So now finally that I've had 5 minutes of silence after the skids were fed, DD went down for a nap and my douchebag DH left for his stupid meeting, I feel better. Not great, but better.

OMG, texting from the bedroom where he is hiding. No way is that happening. I would of went right up there and let him know what I thought about it. And this would be the last time I did anything for his kids.
