Graduation??
SD18 "should" be graduating from high school today at 3:00 pm. However we haven't heard from her since she turned 18 a month ago and turned down DH's b-day party offer saying she was going to "Cali" and would be back " sometime this summer". From my Facebook snooping I know she is indeed in CA with her 25 year old boyfriend. I think we can now confirm high school drop out status. Any takers on how long it will take her to realize what a huge mistake dropping out of high school was? 10 years, 5, never? She has confirmed DH's worst fears and become BM.
On a high note, we have officially reached the end of child support and the custody agreement. In Utah it is 18 or normal and expected high school graduation, whichever is later. Technically we could have gotten out of the last month of support if we could prove she dropped out, but it would have cost more than what the CS costs to get an attorney. So here is to never having to deal with BM again and hoping SD18 forgets our address and phone number!

GO out to dinner with your hubby and celebrate the beginning of your new life...and how even if the crazy kid comes and asks for money, it will be up to YOU to decide not some crazy ex or court!

However, don't get your hopes set that she'll realize what a mistake she made. SD25 dropped out, started making babies, and thinks life is good because, for at least the next 18 years (in her state) the taxpayers will support her! The only error in her ways in her mind is that she didn't come up with this plan sooner!

Sorry if I rain on your parade, but ss23's bm STILL calls and harassed us, has her bill collectors call us,etc. The witches are like bad friggin luggage, no matter how hard you try to get rid of them the more you can't, same with skids.
