The latest on "cowboy" SS

Today DH and I were just hanging out. We had the tv on but neither one of us were really watching it, just cleaning house and kind of doing different things. Suddenly DH looked at the TV and laughed and said something like, "Check out that moron". There was a comedy sketch of a folk singer, dressed just like BM dresses SS4!! I pointed out to DH that he's looking at the future SS Biggrin ...needless to say he didn't agree and got a little huffy but I think I finally got through to him that to someone who's outside looking in, SS4 doesn't look like a cute 4-year-old going through a phase. He just looks unkept and like maybe he could be a little slow since BM doesn't appear to own/know how to operate and iron and yet insists on dressing SS4 daily in those ridiculous flannel shirts that require ironing. Besides, SS could care less what he's dressed as. My proof being that we dress him like a normal kid every time he's here and he never has a problem with this.
I used to love pictures that every small boy seems to have wearing cowboy boots and a diaper and nothing else, but that's all ruined for me at this point. It's like BM's desperately attempting to make SS4 cute by making him a mini-me of her Husband Who Looks Like Her Father and forcibly ramming this image down everyone's throat  .
If that doesn't "spur" DH into taking some action about how SS looks, I'm going to buy him a matching shirt from "Boot Barn", where BM is obviously getting these over priced get-ups. Honestly, how can you buy clothes from a store that has "Barn" in the name? It makes me think they'd all come with the complimentary scent of horse sh** on them.

Eh, everyone's got their own taste in clothing (some more unique than others). I loved dressing up my daughter Smile - but pretty soon, they all get older and have their own identities and want to dress themselves.
