Ouch-rejection letter

bewitched's picture

Ever feel like just giving up? I found a job-online-in a very small town just miles from here. Filled out the app, resume, and received a rejection letter today. Didn't even get to the interview stage. I knew it was a long reach-but was so hoping that with the location of the position, I'd have a chance. Sad

Everyone please add me in their prayers tonite-just for financial stability. On my own. I don't care, at this point, where it comes from. It just has to be.

H has been perfectly nice today (on the phone). Last nite he was just another horror story. I've gotten to see the signs now-his voice sounds different when he's on the down. the moods swinging like the wind blowing is driving me nuts. I feel trapped.

Well, tomorrow is another day-another chance to look for another job...

When one door closes, another magically opens up...all things
happen for a REASON; you were not meant to get the job.

FIND IT!! YOU WILL GET THAT EDUCATION!! YOU WILL HAVE THAT
POWER!

C'mon girlfriend, would I LIE TO YOU?? Biggrin

The down side of living in a small town is that sometimes you have to know someone to get a job. It's not fair to those who are qualified but are not in with the right clique.

Just keep sending those resumes out. Check temp agencies near you. Hell, any job would be enough to tide you over until you find what you really want. Any malls your way? See if you can get even a seasonal job for now..put some money in your pocket. You never know who you might meet along the way that would be helpful in the future.

When I left my last job over 3 1/2 years ago I was trying to get any job I could that involved administration. I sent many applications and resumes out and received many many rejection letters back. Even the place that I work at now originally called me after my 2nd interview and told me that they had someone else for the job, that was until they called me back 2 days later asking if I was still interested in the job cause the other applicant was mucking them around too much.
My advice to you is don't give up. Just like KittyKat said when 1 door closes another 1 opens.

You are always in my prayers BW, I pray that you find the strength to put up with H and skids until you are financially able to kick the leeches to the curb.
Your light at the end of the tunnel is near, stay positive as best as you can, you will pull through this, remember you have been through worse so think of this as a walk in the park the only thing is it doesn't have nice views.

I lost my job a couple weeks ago and will probably never find another like it working in real estate. I have signed up with 2 temp agencies and had an interview today but I don't think I will take the job if it is offered to me. It is in customer service and I know myself pretty well and I can't be that nice all the time. Plus is does not start until right before the end of the year. I am almost done with my tax classes and was offered a full-time position there from January to April so I am just waiting. I am hoping to get some temp work to keep me occupied until then.

Good luck!

here, in this small town, for sometime. Our last clothing store closed months ago-Jc Pennys. Main street is lined with empty business', houses for sale on every block. No grocery store, except Walmart. Scary.

I'd actually consider moving if my folks weren't here. But my older sis lives 5 hrs away, my younger sis is an hour away and has been diagnoised with some degenerative, uncommon eye disease that will probably cost her the sight in at least one eye. There are times she can't drive. How in the world, how on God's green earth, could I leave my parents now?

So let's just pray for the best, I guess. I know I'm luckier than some. H, with all his probs, at least has a job. And he's not here everyday, and that helps, too.

Don't give up! I know it's hard but whatever doesn't kill you can only make you stronger! You'll get through this Bewitched and be stronger than you are right now. Smile I have faith in you, and I promise to keep you in my prayers every night until this nightmare of yours is over.

and areas you don't need a degree to substitute teach. I have a degree, but one county I lived only required so many hours of college work and some more rural counties only require a high school diploma or equivelent. It doesn't pay all that great, but it's something and it's fairly easy work. Even if they don't take subs for teachers without a teaching degree, many will have subs for paraprofessionals and that can be okay too, or even the same as substitute teaching. You should look into it and give it a try. It's super flexible and it'll get you started until you find something more permenant.
