I finally did it! On Skids weekend, I disengage completely.

I finally made the bold move and separate my children from my skids and it felt WONDERFUL. This past weekend, I decided to disengage completely and fine tune my focus on my children and their needs as opposed to the DH and my Skids and their continous drama.

After SD, 14 decided that it was OK to not speak to me in my own home because I told her to make up her bed,I decided to HELL WITH EVERYONE, and focus on me.

Divorce came up... SKids are too much stress

DH and I almost came to a  DIVORCE this past week because I straight up told him, that I don't want my SD kids in my house anymore. We don't want to get a divorce because of US, but it has been 6 long years dealing with their attitude and I have developed anxiety because of them.  It is emotionally exhausting and it is a sad way to live. I don't want them in my life anymore, I don't care about future relationships because I don't see myself as a step mother, just a responsible adult in their lives. We share our lives together but there is no actual LOVE between us.

SD told DH he has no brain, disrespectful to me but I'll get the last laugh

I am sitting here drumming up all these issues that may affect my SD13. Stressed actually. I turned to my husband after SD told him this weekend "he has no brains" that he needs to speak to the mother to find out more. If there is something that was done to her, we need to know so we can fix.

Well the mother reveals:

+ SD doesn't want to come because we gave her grief about making up her bed and that's a no no apparently.

Why do I feel so heartless?

She is an innocent 12/13 year old girl who is dealing with a lot. She doesn't have a father at home, her mother was in the hospital after having a mental break-down, as a result, her grades took a nose-dive and she is now failing. Her brothers who live with her are always constantly fighting and usually never have a kind word towards her. She locks herself up in a room, spends a tremendous amount of time on her phone and schedules her life with friends to stay out of her house.
