She's home!!!

Our new baby girl puppy Weimaraner Juniper is home.  We are so excited!  She came home Friday morning.  Obviously we've been pretty busy.  Our boy Weim was at a large dog show all weekend-he won his open class 3 times :)  Having him gone was so hard, we missed him so much-BUT it did give us time to have w/her bonding and adjusting to her new home.

We have a super smart, independent, try everything little girl.  SUPERB temperament.  They met for the first time Sunday and it went very well.  We let him sniff at her as she was in her kennel for about an hour before letting her out.  Today they are playing in the yard together, chasing eachother and chewing bones next to eachother.  He's loving having the pup-but he does 'guard' me some.  Like get in between us if puppy approaches....he did it a lot Sunday evening but much better today.   She's already learned the doggy door and is learning the bells also.  Did some leash training for a few minutes Sunday and today.  She can sit for cookies, eats well and only 1 accident so far-and it was an excitement pee when her and Cypress were first introduced and busy playing.  No excessive whining in the crate-goes right in. Today put herself in twice when she got tired.  1st night got up a couple times but last night slept 6hrs before needing to go out.....went and back to bed until breakfast time.  She is a DOLL and I promise I will figure out photo uploads here soon!   We are over the moon.

She's from a different breeder from our boy -his is also excellent line-but this one is local and also well known-super birdy dogs, all from great hunting lines/championships and titles.  She's extensively socialized these pups and she is a perfect match for what we wanted for a companion for him and in the field with us.   We will be training both of them in agility also, with him starting this year and her when a bit older of course.  We brought some quails home from our breeder also to train.  I've seen videos of her already exposed to them-she will point, put bird and mouth and run off proud of her catch.    Anyways, rambling and happy here Smile
