Making SD feel special on SS's birthday?

For those of you that have read my blogs, you know that SS8 is turning 9 next week. BM Nasty has purchased gift cards for SS…but she also got a gift card for SD so that she “doesn’t feel left out”…today is her (BM Nasty’s) birthday & these texts are to my SO about the cards…FYI, he’s already told her that sending SD7 a gift for SS’s birthday is wrong, but she doesn’t care…

(UPDATE) Should we tell BM what SS wants for his birthday

Okay…I want to thank all of you who responded to the original blog. I read the responses to my SO & he had a good giggle that he “was right”...(4 backing him/2 backing me).

I conceded that the majority was right & that the email to BM Nasty was not necessary after all.

I apologized to SO if he felt I was being pushy & told him I wouldn’t mention it again…for some unknown reason, he went ahead & sent the email to BM Nasty…

The response he received via text has GOT to be the stupidest thing EVER…I had to share…

Should we tell BM what SS wants for his birthday (and remind her of when his birthday is)??

Am I way off base here?

SS8 is turning 9 on the 27th. His BM (Nasty) only calls them about once every 6 weeks or so (if he & SD7 are lucky!). Her last phone call was on September 1st (a week & a half after school started) for her 7 minute phone call (that’s both Skids combined)…so technically, she’s not due to call again until mid-October.

Last year, I had SO text BM Nasty the gifts that the Skids wanted for their birthdays…this year, I compiled a note with loads of links of the toys (Atlantis Lego sets) that she could pick & choose from.

I thought I’d update you to the whole mess that is my week since a few of you were kind enough to respond to my last couple of blogs.

SO came to pick me up for lunch & proceeded to ask me “what’s wrong…you’re voice is kinda monotone” to which I responded “I don’t want to cause an argument, we’ll talk on Saturday after your test…I’m fine (insert smile)”. He was his normal happy chipper self while we sat down & ordered…then he said something (without my starting it)…

I haven’t been blogging lately simply because the only issues I’ve been having have already been blogged about (my resident Skids being major turds). Things haven’t changed in the slightest on that front.

School started for me on Monday…I’m extremely happy to be back in class & out of the house! I’m in a Freshmen Interest Group (FIG) for those going into the medical field which means that 3 of my classes are with the same group of people.

For those of you that have read my blog, you know that I am resident SM to SS8 & SD7. They have, as of late, been making my life miserable. I haven’t blogged about my resident Skids much as I don’t feel that their behavior is that off as far as age appropriateness goes. SO has been making vain threats lately as well which I think makes him look silly when they chose to break the rules. I certainly don’t expect him to make SS wear an orange t-shirt to school that say’s “PRISONER” on it for lying but I also would expect him to throw things at them that he’s willing & able to do.

Well crap!

SS8 has been busted not once, not twice but THREE times in 2 days lying over the stupidest of things!

Yesterday, SO just told him off but didn’t punish him…these things happen, I know. By the time today’s lies rolled around, I had had it.
