Calling CPS on BM

Anon2009's picture

Have you ever called CPS on BM, and what were the results?

DH and I have called CPS on BM because she had the kids living in squalor and was letting them get molested. She was letting registered sex offenders live at her house. CPS gave the kids to us, and we were awarded temporary custody of them until our custody battle was over. We won full custody of them. Those calls to CPS were very helpful, because the judge got to see their reports and the pictures they took of BM's house and learn about how skids were abused.

i called cps once on bm when ss was 5. He is 12 now. He came home from a visit and told me that he and his sister (age 7) stayed home by themselves in their crap ass neighborhood. I didnt necessarily want to get her in trouble, but dh and I talked about it and felt like if she did it once she would do it again and if we spoke to her about it she'd just be shitty and do it again to be spiteful. So I called, they investigated, and did substantiate a neglect charge on her. Nothing really happened with it though. Although she did come up here a few weeks later when she picked ss up, in tears, because "someone" had reported her and a cps worker would be coming to speak to my ss and she just wanted to warn me. She seemed most disturbed by the fact that "someone" must have been watching her awfully closely to know that she left the kids alone.

My wife called CPS on my ILs because SIL-15 was living in squalor with no food in the house. The CPS case worker told my wife that at 15 SIL could clean the house and figure out how to get food. :O

Another example of the toothless morons in the family law/child protective industries not giving a flying rats ass about kids and being too F-in lazy to get off of their worthless asses and going to investigate the situation.

IDIOTS!

Uhm...yes DH tried this twice and the idiots still have done nada.

They only "care" if the kid is outside, without a diaper, with "mom" smoking a rock and standing on the street corner in this backass town. ( maybe )

It is okay to neglect your child to the point of impetigo and being so sick that they need oxygen in the ER at age 6. What a bunch of cretins. Don't get me going on the "race" factor around here that I am observing as well.

I'm glad they helped you though, wherever you are.
