SD22 apologized to me

Aniki-Moderator's picture

Not much of an apology, if you ask me. Here's the background info: https://www.steptalk.org/blog/aniki/sd22-still-losing-ground-251316

I texted back "Sorry for what?"

SD: dad sd i hd 2 say sorry tell him i did

She still thinks she's getting Christmas money because her next text was "wl dad gv me my $"

OT - Thankful Thursday

We're closing in on the weekend, STalkers. Happy Friday Eve!

We all have our struggles. I've been going through a rough time for the past several months, but have managed (most days) to stick out my chin and push forward instead of crawling under a rock (kinda cold under that rock right now...). Some of my friends have been been darn near overwhelmed by life-altering shocks. Times like this make it an excellent opportunity for me to remember the things for which I am thankful.

I am thankful for:

OT - Why Not Wednesday

Happy Hump Day, STalkers! This has already been a looooong week for me and the day is only half over (with 2 more days to go.) I was on conference calls aaaaall day yesterday and will be all day today.
Let's break up the week with a little fun. Acute

What's your sign? (That's an old pickup line, lol!)

Difference in ages between you and your spouse/partner?

What kind of books do you like and what are you currently reading?

Favorite gemstone?

OT - Tone-up Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, STalkers! It's a balmy 16 degrees F in my neck of the woods - feels like 6. We're in for a cold week with a high of 0 degrees F on Friday. Yes, you read that correctly - ZERO. With temps dipping into the negative (especially with the wind chill), and all of the snow we've been getting, plenty of folks prefer staying inside.

So I'm reviving a previous TuT of exercises you can do at your desk.

Keeping skids out of the bedroom

Aniki-Moderator's picture

I felt like this was starting to hijack another thread, so created this blog.

Is the master bedroom off limits to skids? Does a closed door mean Keep Out? Do the skids knock or just barge in, regardless of closed door?

Before DH and I got together, the skids were ALWAYS in the master bedroom. It was nothing for the skids to not only sit on the bed, but to sprawl aaaaall over it, filthy clothes, nasty shoes and all. DH, Disney Dad that he was (note: WAS), just didn't have the heart to say No.

OT - divorce drama

Aniki-Moderator's picture

For those who were previously married, how long did it take for your divorce to be finalized?

My divorce from psychotic exh took 16 months. He argued over the most ridiculous things to try and keep me tied to him. I wonder how many people can say that their divorce decree stipulates that "Psychotic Shi'thead retains possession of the bed quilt made by his mother"? I kid you not - that is in there. Nukkin' futz.

OT - Tone-Up Tuesday

In deference to those who are still suffering from Seasons Eatings (Tubby Tuesday!), we’ll skip the PHYSICAL Tone-Up Tuesday and work on toning our mental health.

There’s good stress… and there’s bad stress. Do you know the difference? It’s important to identify your biggest stressors (and triggers) and manage the way you react to them.

Some stress is healthy. It energizes and motivates you. In an emergency, it can actually protect you by giving you a sense of focus.
