Michigan had a TON of snow over the weekend - whiteouts, blizzards, Don't Drive Unless It's An Emergency... Lots of places are closed. Aniki is a little bored today... How about a little fun?

Worst vacation?One I took

Worst vacation?
One I took years ago with my sister. She insisted on eating out breakfast, lunch, and dinner EVERY DAY. I was so exhausted from all of the running around we did, that I took a day to stay home, sleep late, and do NOTHING.

Best vacation?
2 weeks with DH to California wine country

A destination on your bucket list?
Finland, Ireland

What do you like to do when you're snowed in/stuck at home?
Read a good book, cook, or play with DH.

Favorite thing to cook on a snowy/rainy day?
Something that takes hours and perfumes the house… French Dip, spaghetti sauce, chili… I also like to bake a banana nut bread or some mini pineapple-upside-down cakes.

Worst vacation. - Brittany,

Worst vacation. - Brittany, France in a villa with my parents and family years ago. Just horrible and boring.

Best vacation - Venice, Italy. Absolutely gorgeous, wonderful atmosphere and fascinating history.

Bucket list vacation - Alaska (summer lol)

We never get snowed in but i like to read or watch boxed sets.

Snowed in food would be lamb tagine and Moroccan rice, maybe some Swedish cinnamon knots.

I read a lot and often have more than one on the go. For fiction I am reading Pachinko which is a family saga based in Korea. Non fiction is Timesong - the hunt for Doggerland, which is about prehistoric Europe before the UK was cut off from mainland Europe.

Yep we did very expensive

Yep we did very expensive too but worth the once in a lifetime expense. It was our honeymoon.

Worst vacation? This one is

Worst vacation? This one is hard, because most vacations even with their flaws I cherish, because it gets me out of here.

Best vacation? Family trip to D.C. and Rhode Island. My brother was stationed back east for two years and we got to visit and see the state capital and tour the summer homes, alot of fun.

A destination on your bucket list? New Orleans, I have never been and want to go so badly.

What do you like to do when you're snowed in/stuck at home? We don't get snow here, just god awful heat, usually on those days you go sit in the pool until the sun goes down, then go take a cold shower and try not to move.

Favorite thing to cook on a snowy/rainy day? Gumbo and french bread.

What are you reading right now? Nothing at the moment, but I did get some new books after Christmas that look good.

I have never been to NO and would like to go. But not during Mardi Gras!

Worst Vacation: Honestly we

Worst Vacation: Honestly we didn't go on a lot of vacations ever. And I couldn't afford them after moving out. All of them were positive.

Best vacation: Went to visit some family friends, Disneyland, and the beach. PLUS surf and turf burritos from a sketchy under the bridge hole in the wall mexican place. DELICIOUS.

Bucket List Vacation: Germany or Greece. Greece has some AMAZING history and looks beautiful. I really am just a fan of German food... And I've seen beautiful shots of it as well.

What do I like to do when it's snowed/stuck at home: When there was snow growing up I was in it pretty much 100% of the time. Snowshoeing, snow caves, snow men, snowball fights, absolutely anything in the snow!!! Now I read or draw... We don't get snow here...

Favorite thing to cook on a snowy/rainy day: Grilled cheese and tomatoe soup! YUM!

PA, I love a good grilled

PA, I love a good grilled cheese! I saw the movie, Chef, and would like to try my hand at duplicating the grilled cheese Jon Favreau made.

Grilled cheese is delicious! We had a place where I grew up that served "grilled cheese for grownups." So many good choices!!!

Going to the Southwest (Moab, Grand Canyon, etc.) with my soon to be ex-H. The location was beautiful but he was such an a$$ it was exhausting.

Best vacation?

San Francisco with DH or London with DH - we have so much fun on vacations together! He forces me to relax and I force him to do more stuff earlier in the day.

A destination on your bucket list?

France. The whole thing. We're actually in the beginning stages of planning a three week France/Italy vacation this summer...crossing fingers!

What do you like to do when you're snowed in/stuck at home?

(assuming we have not lost electricity) Read. Bake. Provide the kitties with a lap. Watch movies. Play games. Hang out with neighbors. Make lots of tea and cocoa.

Bread. Soup. Roasted meats and veggies.

"Family Furnishings" short story collection by Alice Munro, "Greetings from Witness Protection" - a teen book I promised SD13 I would read (it's pretty good but totally focused on a kid finding her perfect whole family), and "Breaking Free" by Rachel Jeffs (about her escape from LDS church/polygamy).

Cover, I have blocked out so much of my marriage to my psycho narc exh... We went on a vacation to Florida. The ONLY thing I remember about that trip is buying a new swimsuit, at his insistence. A few years ago, I came across a box that had a picture of me from that vacation. I look TERRIFIED.

Awful. I remember him just

Awful. I remember him just YELLING at me at a campground for not wanting to do this crazy off-road experience in our 4x4 (with no experience). It scared the bejeezus out of me. Not my thing at all. He was saying he could find someone else to do it with him then....which was my first inkling that there was another woman...took me another 9 mos to get there and get out but this was the start.

I also remember mountain biking with him and kicking his bu** at it - I bike a lot and he was out of shape. He actually had to stop and rest a couple times...I left him sitting there at his last rest stop and just waited for him at the car.

Wow. Mine accused me of

Wow. Mine accused me of cheating on him because I came home from lunch with my girlfriend 5 minutes early. Likely had to cut short his conversation with HIS affair.

Even though it was many years ago, it's shocking that I remember nothing about that vacation. It was a big deal! Two days at Disney, a day cruise... yet I remember NOTHING but that swimsuit purchase.
