Aniki's picture

I've been asked to repost this blog, so here you go. If something has changed, please let me know and I will correct this.

BLOGS vs FORUM TOPICS

  • Blogs can be deleted by the OP and Admin.
  • Forum Topics can only be deleted by Admin, If you want your Forum topic deleted, you must request this from Admin.

  • Blog comments can be deleted by the OP and Admin.
  • Forum Topic comments can only be deleted by Admin. You have the option to EDIT your comment in Blogs AND Forum Topics.

NOTE: There is a 'cascade effect' when comments are deleted. All comments attached to the deleted comment will also be deleted.

  • Blogs can be set up as OPEN (Users with the "Post comments" permission can post comments) or CLOSED (NO users can post comments).
  • Forum Topics always allow comments.

  • Blogs can be Tagged (Tags help others find your post when you "tag" the blog with terms relevant to the content. IE: 'Thankful Thursday').
  • Forum Topics do not have a tag option.

Finding Blogs. You can easily find all of your Blogs in your Account. Click on My Account (at the top). Under the View tab, scroll down to History and click on View recent blog entries. The blogs appear with the most recent one first. Scroll to the bottom of the screen to page through your blogs.

Finding Forum Topics. It takes a little bit of work to find your Forum Topics and comments, but it IS possible. (See HOW TO FIND YOUR COMMENTS below.)
