I'm sitting here doing touch ups on family pictures before I get them printed and I'm thinking to myself who the kids look like. My boys have features that look more like me and my family. I see build and height mostly from my ex in them and they each have facial features but not the same ones from him. That said, plenty of people tell them how much they look like him. My OSS, same thing. I see both his mom and dad in him. Different expressions I see her, others I see him. YSS I cannot for the life of me find something that resembles DH, or anyone in his family for that matter. I had that conversation a few years ago with my MIL. (Because DH was convinced YSS looked just like him and I disagreed) MIL wanted to know if he listened to me, because he didn't when anyone else said he looked just like his mother. I'm sure someday those genes will finally work their way out, but I can't help but wonder sometimes. Wouldn't change anything. He's still dad. But I still wouldn't put it past her.
