Luciferette has reached a new low.
I can’t wait until this wedding is over. Starry is stressing out big time, and her mom isn’t making things any easier.

The Invitations Went Out
The wedding invitations have gone out.
DH said Starry showed him one the other day. I guess they’re pretty nice. He said the bride and groom’s parents are listed on it. You know like, “Daughter of DH and Luciferette…” And then “Son of Mr. and Mrs. Preach” for Preach’s parents.
DH acted weird about it.
I asked him if he was upset that my name was not listed there. He said, “A little.”

Back to Update, Still on Step Prison Parole
Hello, everyone.
I posted once a few months ago when SD21 (aka Starry) moved out and got her own place, but I’m no stranger to this board. I came here a little more than three years ago frustrated beyond rational thought. At that time we had just reconciled with my stepdaughter after she did us dirty moving out almost 5 years ago when she was 16. DH and I had a lot of anger to work through, and during the time of my first post I hated being a stepmother and just wished I had never become one.
To say things have changed is an understatement.

What is the gestational period for launching a stepchild?
I have the answer.
It's 26 months. SDstb21 officially moved out this weekend! She moved in with a former co-worker and is splitting the bills with her. Actually she's been out of the house for two weeks doing a "trial run" to make sure this living arrangement was going to work out.
It's a go!
DH and I helped her move some stuff this afternoon. She'll be living about eight minutes away, just down the street from where we used to rent before we bought our house in the country.
She's ecstatic, AND SO ARE DH AND I!
