I wonder what she needs now?

Yesterday, I logged in to MiSDU to see what was what with this month's CS from Medusa. Oh, look - the usual $300 payment. Yawm...still over 7K in arrears.

I was in a meeting most of the morning. DH texted me while I was in the meeting - "are you sitting down? She paid $300 yesterday and another $4000 today. Only $3300 behind now. She must have needed something that was getting blocked because of her arrearage."

My guess? She's formed another LLC or S Corp. Michigan won't let you do that if you are over a certain amount in arrears on support.

Ahahahahahahahaha!! Uh, sure, DH

So, BabyVoice has been taking private flute lessons. Apparently, it paid off because she will be one of 10 sophomores in Symphony Band next year and the only one in the flute section. Good for her. Drives me nuts when she practices, but it's soooooooooo much better than when she is playing her ukelele.

She has a recital on Sunday afternoon.

DH just texted me "do you want to go to BV's recital on Sunday?"

me - nope, I'm good.

DH - are you sure??

me - *crickets*

Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
*breathes*
ah ha ha ha ha ha ha!!

Today's grammar lesson

Attention people of earth-

The past tense of "text" is "texted."

I swear on all that is holy I'm going to have to unfriend a woman I've known for years because all I see in my newsfeed on Facebook is how she text her husband this and she text her kid that and her kid text her back.

That is all.

Back from Florida - also my husband is just the best!!

We had a great time in Florida - the weather was just perfect, the view from our room was spectacular and we just relaxed and unwound. Such a needed break from the crazy time!!

In other news, before we left, DH made arrangements with the cremation service to pick up Sheba from the vet. They told him that they would return her to us via UPS!! I was walking down the hall when DH was on the phone with them, but I didn't know to whom he was speaking. This is what I heard -

Off for a long weekend - and boy, do I need it!

DH is in Florida for work and I am hopping on a plane tonight after work to go down for the rest of the week and weekend.

After two graduations, one baby shower and the loss of my beloved Sheba in the last three weeks, I am so looking forward to doing nothing!

See you all later - happy Wednesday!!

My little gray girl...

As Echo told you guys yesterday, I've had to make the decision.

Here's my FB tribute to my girl from yesterday...

In November 2002, I decided to make Sheba - a 2 year old grey cat - a part of our family. She had a rough life when she was brought to the Michigan Humane Society and she wasn't terribly friendly, so she had been long overlooked.

As I sat in the meet and greet room, the volunteer told me Sheba was timid and scared and then left us to get acquainted.

She came over to me, licked me twice on my finger and then bit me! I was sold!
