Lets Talk SKids and Cell Phones

Ninji's picture

I'm of two minds on this. I understand that my SO wants to be able to talk to his kids without BM being involved (they are 9 and 11) but it enough already.

So here's some questions for everyone

1. How old was your Skid when she/he got their first phone
2. How many have they had and what happened to the phone(s)
3. How old are they now

My SD was 10 when she got her first cell phone.
She is now on her second phone because she lost the first within 2 months
She's now 11.....

Ahhhh The Electronic Grades

Well the reports are in on SS9's grades anyway. BM keeps saying how much "she's changed" since she got married and does homework with SS every night.

What a laugh

SS's Grades
Spelling 49%
Math 77%
Soc Studies 42%
Science 60%
Reading 66%

Every subject has missing assignments and F's on every test.

SO's reaction...It's all BM's fault.

SO can't say no to Skids

I sometimes wonder if SO or BM told Skids no if they would burst into flames or melt into a puddle.

I normally don't care because it's his money he is wasting on ungrateful children.

But now he's brining me into it and I'm starting to get pissed.

SD is 11 now and is getting close to my size. SO is starting to think SD can just have any of my stuff she wants...And he doesn’t see it. He thinks I'm over reacting.

Just a few examples in the last couple of months.

Quick Update

BM, SO and SS went to see the counselor. From what SO told me it was a complete joke. Seems to me like it was more about SO and BM arguing then about SS.

I guess they saw a counselor to be referred to the right counselor? Never hear of such a thing but I guess the guy wanted to know about their situation to best refer them to a counselor.

So sick of Skids

This was the first weekend I had to spend with Skids since June.

Surprise Surprise nothing has changed.

SO and I spent the entire weekend cleaning. Moving furniture, cleaning out closets, mopping floors...The house really needed it.

Saturday morning I see the Skids start their laundry. Great, I told them and SO I would no longer be involved with them and chores unless it started affecting me or the house (bugs, smell...that type of thing)
