So this Sunday SS had a birthday party that he just HAD to attend.

On Friday, DH told me to book a hotel anywhere I wanted for the next kid free Saturday. I told said, yeah right. Every single weekend that is supposed to be skid free has not been. Then he says ok well book it for Friday instead of Saturday. I told him that's ridiculous. I bring up the fact that every kid free weekend has been messed up and instead of saying he needs to fix it, he just says change the day to Friday. Because HE KNOWS something is going to come up.

A little back story to this one.

A few months ago when we moved, our cat got out and ran away. He was always an indoor/outdoor cat at our old house, so I hoped he would come back. I searched the local shelters and searched "missing cats" online in our area. I finally located him two months later, but the place that rescued him only keeps cats for one week. He had already been adopted out. It broke my heart. I really loved him.

BM decided she no longer wanted SS11 and gave him to us full time 21 days ago.

She said she would not "allow" DH to have legal custody until he can show improvement in SS's behavior and grades. BM has allowed SS to run wild his entire life. He has been suspended a few times this year when he was with BM and was in danger of repeating the 5th grade. The only reason he was able to pass the 4th grade is because his teacher was giving him fake grades. Something she (the teacher) freely shared with DH and I.

Well, long story short, last month SD12 informed us she has a crush on another girl. DH was flustered and I'm still unsure about it. She has always been boy crazy.

A few days after she told us, we were at the mall looking at posters. I saw one that had hot babes in bikinis and I teased SS11 that he should buy that one. Then I thought SD might like it and told her she could get it if she wanted. She said GROSSSSSS. Ok, I'm trying to be supportive if she actually is attracted to girls now. Maybe I'm going about it wrong.

SS11 got in trouble today at school for saying freaking and has been in trouble in the past for saying jerk in school. I don't necessary consider these curse words but the school does and he gets in trouble for it.

I personally love to curse. The F word is one of my favorite words. I believe sometimes nothing really conveys the way you feel like some well-placed curse words.

Halloween Weekend

Good points
We had a nice Halloween night. Kids got loads of candy. I watched my favorite movie, Poltergeist, and cried.

Bad points
SO was sick and spend almost the entire weekend either in bed or complaining
SS didn't turn in any of the homework I spend 10+hrs helping him with the previous weekend.
SS also told SO that SF is his first dad and SO is his second. SO is heart broken.

This doesn't make sense to me

In the past, whenever Skids got failing grades, BM didn't give a rats ass.

They were never grounded or expected to do anything to bring the grades up.

Now that BM married some guy last spring, Skids are grounded to their rooms and don't get any scenes if they bring home failing grades. I hear this and I'm like, Ok great finally Skids are being held accountable.

Problem is SS9 is being grounded to his room but no adults are helping him with his work. I did 10hr of homework with SS this past weekend....Let me repeat that 10HRS.
