Things are spiraling out of control, again.
I received a call at around 2pm while at work from DH on Wednesday. He told me that SS had gotten jumped by three boys from school. He was hurt and his glasses were broke.
As you can imagine, I was freaked out. I immediately left work and raced home. It wasn't as bad as we had imagined. He did have bruised eyebrow that was swelling. His glasses were a little bend but fine. Either way, I was still very upset that some kid punched SS in the face. SS said he didn't know the kids names (several were in attendance) and he didn't know why they wanted to fight him.

How wide has your DH allowed home plate to get?
I was talking to a co-worker today and he mentioned his 26yr old SS that recently moved back in with him and his wife. He talked about her getting angry with him expecting the "kid" to clean up after himself and find his own place.

Steplife is really bringing me down this week
We spoke to a lawyer on Friday and I got a rude awakening. I was hoping we could change a few items just to make things more equal and lower the CS since we have SS full time now.

Another Vent
We went a nice local nursery and to the annual Art festival on Saturday.
Anytime we take skids anywhere, SS and DH hold hands while me and SD walk behind them. When I met DH, SS was 4. I was jealous then that I couldn't walk with my man and hold his hand, but SS was only 4. His parents were recently divorced. I'm not going to say anything. I hoped he would grow out of it. Well, then he was 6...then 8...then 10. Now he is 11. Not only is he 11 now but he's 5'7 135lbs. He is no longer a little boy. He lives with us full times, so it's not like he is missing daddy.

Literal Shit
If someone would have told me 8 years ago to get ready to deal with shit on a regular basis, I would have laughed.
Who deals with poop unless they have babies and toddlers?
I got this text from DH yesterday
"There is a giant shit in SS's bathroom trash can"
So, I'm thinking one of the dogs must have been feeling sick and had an accident and SS cleaned it up and put it in the trash instead of the toilet.

What should we ask for
I'm calling the lawyer today to set up an appointment to finally get the CS changed and get custody of SS changed to DH. He has a really shitty CO that has given BM full control and but zero responsibly for seven years. I'm trying to think of some things we need to have changed.

Go DH, GO!!!
We had the skids from the 6th until 12th. DH brought them to BM on the 12th and she was supposed to bring SS back to us on the 16th.
On Friday, DH gets a text from BM stating that her husband has moved out (not the first time) and can DH please pick SS up from her house on Sunday. DH told her No. She then said she really needed the favor as she will be cooking on Sunday. DH told her No. She then said she would give him gas money. He still told her No.....See, her husband was the one that always dropped SS off to us while she sat at home on her ass.

How long can she go
SD13 has been at our house since Friday. Still hasn't showered. She is leaving on Wednesday and at this point I'm betting that she won't shower unless DH makes her.
I wonder how long she would go if no one ever brought it up. Last time she was with us for 4 days and on her period and didn't shower.

Sharing with Skids
My days of sharing with SD13 are finally over.
When I first met DH, SD was only 6. But that didn't stop DH from thinking SD had a right to everything of mine that she wanted.
We had many fights about it and I won must of the battles. Well, last skid weekend I finally won the war.

Proud of DH
DH just called me and told me that BM called. The only time she calls and doesn't text is when she wants something.
SD13 is feeling sick and needs to be picked up from school. BM wanted my DH to leave work and drive her to BM's house.
DH actually told her NO. I'm still in shock.
BM doesn't work during the day but figured since DH was working close to SD's school, that he should just leave work and go get SD.
He told her that she needs to get her and take her to the doctor. That he is no longer in the BM favor giving business.
