What?? Do I have a giant booger hanging out of my nose or something???

Truelight made a good dinner. Just a simple soup and crackers, but really good and filling. So, I'm sitting there, and I notice that Starr, KittyCat and Sheldon are all staring at me practically throughout the entire dinner. It's not unusual for Starr (my BD9) because that's what she does, and I'm used to it. I look at them, and they look away. Okay, I know I was a bit of a bitch yesterday, but I'm like that sometimes, and they know when to expect it because I'll usually give them a PMS warning, but I can't think of anything I've done today.

Sheldon vs. The Dryer

onehappygirl's picture

Last night, I ran a load of Sheldon's school clothes. This morning when I woke up, I put them in the dryer. After I get myself ready this morning and lunches made, it's time to wake up the kids. They all know that they must be fully dressed before they leave their bedroom. Here comes one, and then another, and then another, and hmmmmm, Sheldon is still in his room and it's been 15 minutes now.

Why is is ALWAYS mine?

This is no big deal really, but it just aggravates the crap out of me today. First of all, I love them all, I really, really do, but being inside with four cabin-fevered kids has worn my patience to the breaking point. I fixed a great lunch. We had all kinds of finger food - bagel bites, taquitos, mini chimis - we pretty much ate ourselves sick. Not one hour after lunch, my daughter comes to me wanting a snack. no, No, NO!!

OT - Endometrial Ablation - anyone had it?

onehappygirl's picture

I'm scheduled for one next month. My doctor has explained to me the benefits and the risks, and I have opted to go through with the procedure. I'm a little nervous about it, but very excited that I only have one more heavy period to get through.

If you've had it, please tell me what the recovery time was, how long before I can have sex again, any pain? What was your experience?

OT - a dusting of snow and no one could make it in!!!

onehappygirl's picture

I'm sorry, but I've got to bitch about this somewhere and this site is my outlet for bitching, so here I go. We got a friggin' DUSTING of snow!!!! Not even 1/2 an inch. People that live in my town are complete idiots when it comes to driving in any kind of weather. Take it slow, take it easy. The roads were indeed slick. It took me 1-1/2 hours to get to work this morning, but I'm here!!! Three girls called in this morning saying they could not make it to work. Okay. If you can't make it in now, how about trying again in another hour or so.

TGIF!!! What are your weekend plans?

onehappygirl's picture

Countdown 2-1/2 hours until I can leave my beige cell. Truelight, Spongebob and Starr are meeting me at BJ's tonight (the bar and grill, the other kind will come later). Afterwards, we will drive home and then hopefully, it will be near time for Spongebob and Starr's father to come pick them up. After that - get out some shot glasses, some bourbon, some loud techno music, turn up the heat, get naked and BAM!!!! Let the kid-free weekend begin!!

OT - Office Pettiness and the Zinger!!

As a consideration for all. If you must make popcorn in microwave, please make sure that it does not burn. This creates a strong and acrid odor which is not easily eliminated since windows do not open to outside. Thanks for your consideration.

I don't know what an acrid odor is but I know it stinks.

Truelight caught Spongebob (BS14) smoking!!!

Apparently, my son, my beautiful, intelligent son is also the dumbest kid on the face of the freakin' earth!!

Spongebob gets home from school at 2:45. Truelight gets home from work at 3:00. For the life of me, I can't figure out how he can get in so much trouble in just 15 minutes, but he does almost each and every day.

OT - To the under 30 crowd from the old folks. (funny and true)

onehappygirl's picture

If you are 30 or older, you will think this is hilarious!!!!

When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning.... Uphill... Barefoot... BOTH ways Yadda, yadda, yadda

And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on my kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it!

OT - Need encouragement on my new healthy lifestyle

onehappygirl's picture

I can't diet - I always fail. Instead, I have to embrace a new lifestyle. I need your help. I need encouragement. I need accountability.

Here is the ugly truth. I am 5'2", small boned. I weigh 204 pounds. I'm 40-years-old. I wear a (gasp) size 20 petite jeans. I carry most of my weight in my tummy, butt and thighs (I'm a definite pear shape).
