Im on a role today--ever notice when Sk is gone that you and SO never fight? (or fight less)

It seems like the only time my DH and I fight or argue is when SD is over with her bad attitude that creates tension in the household. I have kept track, and seriously it is every time, and she is always sitting on the couch texting with her iphone and a little smirk of satisfation on her face. Im just really in a venting kind of mood today......... Wink }:)

yes, when i was with exbf, he and i would fight only about exsd...seriously. little tiffs here and there about stupid little things that would be resolved in no time flat...but 'fights' lasted for days and were always about sd.

he was so different when she wasnt around (like at school, bm's, her friends houses) but once she was home, he became a real dickhead. everyone noticed the difference. even the dogs were less playful when sd was around...they tended to be more quiet and lazy, as not to cause extra cammotion or something.

We definitely are different when SD is here. I hide out in my room all the time. If not she is glued to my side 24/7. I can't stand it and I get really grumpy. SO just does his thing and is oblivious to me being mad. He thinks I should be happy to be in SD's presence :sick:

We definitely irritate each other more when she's around. I find myself always having to knock SD10 down a peg. I refuse to wait on her and kiss her ass like everyone else in her life. And although he'll shoot me the occasional glare, I know that deep down DH appreciates me doing his dirty work. Mostly, when I tire of being the step-monster I just check out & get some "me" time in. Fortunately, DH doesn't really ever give me grief about not attending her every event, soccer game, etc.
