I am a SO of a man who has 3 children, 10, 8 and 4. My own children are grown and out of the house (married, college, etc.) I was a "true" single parent at one time. Did everything myself, worked 2+ jobs, made sure homework was done. Did a little "on the side schooling" so that my children would be in advanced classes and did it all w/o the benefit of CS
