Have three dgtrs 12,14,& 21; two SKIDS SD16 SS17. Being a step parent and blending families is the most challenging endeavor I have yet to experience, and as a 40-something, I have experienced my share of challenges. Up until now, optimism, logic, and a sense of humor have gotten me through life's speed bumps. I pray that these tools that worked in the past will get me through this. Most days I am not so sure.

Having lost my 30's to the turmoil of divorce, balancing career and single parenting, I entered 40 a stronger more self-confident woman who was content with being a single mom, no partner and actually loved it... Then along came Prince Charming, sweeping me off to another world. What seemed to be a fantasy world has turned into the underworld. It is here I face my darker side. I know I will get through this. The question is- what kind of a woman will I be when I enter my 50's?
