I am Bio-Mom to two grown young men and I have a SS16, who lives with us full time-his bio-mom lost custody of him during the breakup of her third partnership and consequent "nervous breakdown"-and since she is not a "Mom" on paper (don't even open that can of worms)-she views herself as no longer a Mom-she does not talk to us and barely talks or sees her son unless he calls and arranges to see her. I have been with DH for three years and married for the past six months, trying to help him "grow-up" his guilt parented son.
