Bio

I am married to a wonderful man with 2 great kids. I moved from to be with him and for the most part it is great. My main reason for coming here was to see if others were as frustrated about being a "step" as I am. My frustration mostly comes from his family's lack of support of our relationship and my relationship with his kids. Also my strong suspicion that his ex wife and mother are BPD.

He backs me up 100%. We have discussed how we think parenting and marriage should be and try very hard to stick to those ideals. His ex-wife is a thorn in my side - she is obsessively curious about me - to the point of internet stalking. My sweet husband handles all communication with her.

Things were a bit uncomfortable at first but he made it very clear what my role was in our home and gave me the authority to be a parental figure in our home. I count this as the main reason that the kids have responded to me as well as they have.
