I have somewhat of a different situation here. I am a 46 y.o. stepmother of 2 - ages 19(M) & 22(F). I have been with their father for 3 years. He is, legally speaking, their stepfather also. They each have different bio dads and neither bio-father was a part of their life beyond the age of 4. My husband has been the only real father they have ever known. BM lives nearby but chose not to retain custody of the kids when they divorced. Needless to say, our 'issues' are unique and my dear husband is a real 'saint'.
