Stepmom of 10 years. No kids of my own by choice. Married 10 yrs. Came into kids lives at 10/11. I have traditional values but realize the changing society. Bio dad is traditional father trying to raise upstanding kids. Bio-mom is / was insecure in her mothering so allowed sex, drug, achohol as part of her plan to gain popularity with her kids as well as all their friends. Work fulltime, hubby & I get along great. While I've wanted to pull my hair out on more than 1 occasion or move out.....I'm still glad I'm where I'm at today. I can appreciate all the trials and tribulations stepfamilies are dealing with - I wish there weren't as many of them just to see what difference it would have.
