Maple Bourbon Turkey Glaze

This glaze lacquers the bird and adds great flavor to your gravy.

Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate, covered overnight. Brush the glaze over the turkey during the last 15 minutes of roasting. You can also add to gravy to blend the flavors.

Yields 2 1/4 cups15I used this recipe last year, and my family loved it. It really adds some zip to the traditional turkey feast.

I also used this glaze on a ham I roasted for "bowl games." It was delicious on that as well.

1 c. bourbon2/3 c. pure maple syrup1/3 c. soy sauce2/3 c. ketchup2 Tbsp. finely minced fresh ginger 2 Tbsp. packed dark brown sugar
