Easy Crockpot Chicken Pasta

Cut chicken into bite size pieces and place in crock pot. Mix water and dry Italian Dressing mix together in separate dish and then pour over chicken in the crock pot. Sprinkle with a little Italian Seasoning (optional). Allow to cook on low for 3 hours or high for 1 1/2 hours. Just until chicken is thoroughly cooked.

When chicken is fully cooked, add cream cheese, soup, and mushrooms. Mix well and allow to cook another hour to fully blend all ingredients.

Just before getting ready to eat, cook one box of bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain well but do not rinse. Add it to the crockpot and mix well.

If you like creamier pasta, you might want to put the pasta in a little at a time so you have the balance of pasta and sauce that you prefer.

My sister gave me this recipe but I have no idea where she got it.6-815This is a recipe that I always get rave reviews with. I always get asked for the recipe. 1 1/2 lb boneless chicken 1/3 c water1 envelope dry italian dressing mix1 8 oz. package cream cheese1 can cream of chicken soup1 small can mushroom pieces drained (optional)1 box bow tie pastaItalian Seasoning (optional)

Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add pasta and 1 Tbs of the salt and return to a boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, until done (about 15 minutes).

While pasta is cooking, cook sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring, until evenly browned and cooked through (about 7-8 minutes). Add onion and cook, stirring, until golden brown around the edges (about 8-10 minutes). Add garlic, the remaining 1 tsp of salt and the pepper. Cook, stirring, for 30 seconds. Turn off heat.

Simple Brine for Pork or Chicken

Substitutions:
Sub one of the cups of water for apple cider.
Sub the brown sugar for 1/4 cup maple syrup.
If time is short, start w 4 cups liquid and after the sugar and salt are dissolved, add a cup of ice cubes to bring down the temperature fast. 5 cups water1/4 cup salt (rec kosher)1/4 cup brown sugar1 Tablespoon black pepperPork chops or tenderloin or chicken breast

Meatloaf Roll

Mix groundbeef together with your favorite seasonings as if you were making a regular meatloaf. Flatten the groundbeef out with your hands, but make sure it's not to thin as it will break when you roll it.
Place the broccoli and cauliflower (raw) into the center of the meat and roll into a loaf, closing off ends.
You can either place this into a baking bag with the potatoes and carrots (sliced) or use a regular baking pan. I cook it all together in pan, covered with foil for the first 20-25 mins of baking.
When meatloaf is nearly done, place a few slices of cheese over the top and let it melt.

When it's done, you have a delicious and unique meatloaf to serve. Slice into 1-2 inch pieces. Looks great on the plate too!

Sorry but I'm awful with measurements, so use what you need for your family size Eye-wink 3-660Ground beef BroccoliCauliflower Sliced American CheesePotatoesCarrots

Maple Bourbon Turkey Glaze

This glaze lacquers the bird and adds great flavor to your gravy.

Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate, covered overnight. Brush the glaze over the turkey during the last 15 minutes of roasting. You can also add to gravy to blend the flavors.

Yields 2 1/4 cups15I used this recipe last year, and my family loved it. It really adds some zip to the traditional turkey feast.

I also used this glaze on a ham I roasted for "bowl games." It was delicious on that as well.
