Dh's ex decided to push forward with enforcement of alimony.
My DH has paid this since 2002, BM has boyfriend.. husband??
DH stopped paying in 2006 due to cohabitation.
Per kids they are there 4 out of 7 days., have their own rooms at his house.

My husband's ex-wife has filed a restraining order, the only way we know this is because she threatened it and then we checked the court website a few days later and there it was. The court date set for the hearing is on the 10th of September and she filed it on the 18th of August.

Are there any must discuss points? Unfortunately, I'm not going to be there, and while I've already scoured the online materials for my state and these proceedings, I am hoping to brief F with as much "must ask, must discuss" points as possible.

In probate/family court, is there a way to introduce testimonials of concerned parties to the proceedings?

We are hoping to avoid it, but we may end up in court over custody of SD14 in the near future. In the course of doing our own due diligence on this, several of BM's family members have spoken frankly on their opinions that SD should be with us. Both BM's father, and his wife, plus an aunt, have all voiced their opinions to myself, F, and SD that she would be better served with us, and that BM is not providing a good environment for her.

Sorry to keep posting different topics, I just thought it would be easier to divide up my MANY (lol) issues.

We are planning to serve BM with custody papers this week. I'm told that for temporary custody, we will get a hearing in about 2 weeks, for permanent custody, about a month.

Our plan is to file for both permanent and temporary physical custody of SD this week. I've been told that we can expect a hearing on the temporary custody in 2 weeks, the permanent custody hearing would take at least a month.

hi, this might get a little long because it's a complicated situation but something happened with my boyfriend and his daughter this weekend and i need some advice about whether anything illegal occurred and if there is anything we can do about it.

Its only a matter of time before DH is forced to take BM back to court for for all the crap she is pulling(see other posts). The last time this happened the judge "recomended" mediation for the two of them and to say the least things did not go well(for us that is).

Has anyone had experience with an in-home custody evaluation? My BF and I just recently had one by someone, because my BF is trying to get more time with his son. Once the evaluation is done what happens?

well let's say his employer started garnishing his payments but not sending them in to the AG's office.

BF and I originally filed a downward modification back last Nov when he took a decrease in pay. (It was really a "hidden" big hit b/c he no longer receives bonuses at the new job) But on paper, he took a $2 an hour hit.

I know this is an ongoing discussion. Tell me what you think.

SD15 is going to live with BM, after living with us for four years with NO CS from BM. As soon as this became a possibility, BM filed for CS. In meeting with lawyers, BM said she doesn't need CS from my husband. (OK, then so why did she file?) Instead, she wants husband to pay for other of SD's expenses (such as car insurance, activity fees).

First, I just wanted to thank all of you for writing. I've been lurking for a while, reading what many of you have written. I decided to make my first post, b/c I saw "that will never happen" in several other posts, and it really made me sit up and pay attention.

My husband is actively paying on child support, he started a new job full time and they are taking his whole paycheck and leaving him with absolutly nothing. He is $15,000 dollars in child support debt (arrerage) are they even allowed to leave him with absolutly nothing?

I live in Texas. I have 2 kids and 50/50 custody. DH has 2 kids with 50/50 custody.
My ex makes 70% of what I make...I make $77,000 and he makes over $200,000. I get no CS, but we split all bills in a 70/30 fashion...I pay 30%, he pays 70%. We both provide insurance.
