Crayon, I go through a lot of what you do with SD15, and last night made me think of you.
Husband hasn't seen SD much since she went to BM's for the summer and possibly permanently. So he called her last night to discuss Labor Day, which is his holiday. A few minutes later he asked me if my nieces are going to be at the lake. We usually go to my parents' lake cabin on vacations, and he assumed that was what we would go this time. And of course SD only wants to go if my nieces will be there to entertain her and do her bidding. Aargh!
I told him I had no idea if they would be there but I don't think so. Haven't discussed anything with my brother. So the negotiating began. He immediately called SD back to inform her there was no plan to see nieces. So now she will either try to get out of coming or insist her father do other things with her, such as taking her shopping.
I hate when he lets that kid dictate our time and vacations!

for the former
Hopefully she'll be a no show! That's what I hope EVERY time! Sad, but true; We've done everything we can for these kids and between the spoiling and the PAS I think the only alternative for these men who won't set the BMs and the skids straight (namely I"M the FATHER and I WILL PARENT as though we are still together; AND there WILL BE RULES and CONSEQUENCES for bad behaviour; you didn't get a gift every day I saw you when I was with your mom and you won't get one now every time I see you!!!)
