And the skids were a complete no-show last weekend. Oldest SS11 had "fibbed" for BM and told us that BM would be dropping them off; NOT! He's covered for BM in the past.
Example: SS knowing that BM was launching a fake child abuse report against BF and still telling BF that they were coming over on the weekend with NO mention of the "onslaught" to come; only to have BF receive the call on Friday from CPS just before pick up that he was not to pick up his kids for visitation and that he was under investigation for abuse!!!
Last week, BM probably told skids that they shouldn't go to daddy's house b/c daddy yelled at mommy! And also that "see daddy didn't pick you up b/c he's mad at mommy!" (when we are now making BM drop off skids on friday; a new stipulation of mine; let her EARN that increase in CS that she just greedily got by lying to the hearing examiner!!)
Seeing that we are on an "on-call" visitation schedule (not my choice obviously), I mentioned last weekend while grocery shopping with BF that it's IMPOSSIBLE to know what to buy b/c we are "on call" I think it might be sinking in. I kept saying "we better purchase XYZ for the skids in case they come" and BF was saying "i don't think they're coming"
I really knew they weren't coming after BF called out BM on her shananigans (i.e. trying to "find" something wrong with SS5's leg/gait for more CS) but let BF state out loud what both of us were thinking
I also mentioned there should be some "cut off" notification with this "on call" schedule since he outright refuses to go with the conventional EOW schedule. Like we should be notified before Wednesday at 8 PM whether or not the skids are coming over for the weekend. Frankly I hope they don't come again; we get SOOOOO much more accomplished when they are not here!! (hopefully BM isn't secretly reading this blog!! LOL)
We have SOOO many projects to complete and with the skids around and my recent disengagement, nothing gets done. (oh well!)
AND it's a 3 day weekend!! WOO HOO!

yeah thats bs
even wednesday isnt enough notice...how do u make plans long term??? i know how u feel about hoping they dont come again...things have been so peaceful and wonderful in the month we havent had SD or her whacko BM to deal w...FH even said it himself
We have an EOW schedule set
We have an EOW schedule set up.. we do 3 months out in advance so that DH and I can plan stuff.. AND THAT STILL GETS BLOWN TO SH*T!!!
I dont know Crayon.. I dont know how you do it EVERY weekend.. I would have left by now. After last Friday's encounter w/my dh's ex... I have today looked at condo's for sale in the area that can accomodate me and the kitties.. and have looked at DH relocating for his military career, and how far away can we get?!?!?!?!
i would kill my FH
if he allowed that! seriously! to me thats like saying that he has no regard for our life together or respect for me to put me thru that. but im sure crayons bf has his reasons, especially if shes willing to stay and put up w it!
Well I will say THIS
Three years ago when BF was doing EVERY weekend (verbally agreed to with BM ; I was NOT consulted, of course) if I had planned something on the weekend that DID NOT include the skids, he would DEFINITELY NOT GO, b/c at the time the SKIDS were number one with him.
Fast forward to today; if I now plan something for lets say two weekends from now and the skids call up last minute again and say "we wanna come over" he will say no. Our relationship is slowly becoming the priority over the skids. . . S-L-O-W-L-Y
WOW. now that is progress.
WOW. now that is progress.
I am keeping my plans for Saturday.. DH can stay home w/the skids.
Kudos to you!
hope you have a SUPER time!
