Now DH wants to dye his hair a crazy color like SD's!

I don't know if he feels he needs to do it to prove something to SD or what, but SD bleaches her hair and then puts in some kind of color on the ends and sometimes all over. Well they are going to a Metallica concert next month and DH told me that he's going to dye his hair for the concert as well with SD's dye. Well SD doesn't have the kind of dye that washes out after a shampoo. He'll be stuck with that color for probably a good 6 weeks. He's a 44 year old man who is going to be walking around with blue or green or purple hair for a month! That is really quite embarrassing to me. He is a mechanic in a large factory and doesn't have a supervisor job so he doesn't have to look professional.

It's like whatever SD says he goes along with. He has to make sure SD is happy so when SD suggested he dye his hair he jumped at it. I have no say in what I think. I see that this is going to be a pattern of making sure SD's wishes are constantly met and if I put up a fuss or a wall then I'm just being difficult and need to lighten up. SD will have to ride her bike to school every day and she got all mopey about that. She asked if she could get a scooter and DH said sure when she's 16. The girl doesn't NEED a scooter. Pedal her ass to school!

Any chance of impregnating

Any chance of impregnating his mind with: I do not find dyed hair sexy and fear for our sex life for the duration of your dye job.

Maybe that would cure him of his midlife hair crisis?

Not claiming the skids anymore, I am just his wife.

Bahaha! Too bad mine knows

Bahaha! Too bad mine knows that I would never be able to hold out! I can't even make threats like that with a drive like mine...

Well he was a punk rock guy

Well he was a punk rock guy back in his late 20s early 30s and there's a picture of him with bleach blond hair and he looked awful in my opinion with that but he says he "rocked" it. Nope he's pretty sure he can "rock" anything.

Ask him what 44 year old man

Ask him what 44 year old man "rocks" purple, green or blue hair? I've not seen one yet. I'd tell him I'm not going out in public with him for the duration of his strange hair color.

That will just scream "mid

That will just scream "mid life crisis"! Sticking out tongue

The thing is he just thinks

The thing is he just thinks he's being the cool dad. Ya know, what's the harm of putting some color in his hair for a few weeks. Maybe it makes SD feel more accepted. I don't know! C'mon DH. Act like an adult please!

Heh, he sounds like my BF...

Heh, he sounds like my BF... an overgrown punk. BF is covered from head to toe in tattoos and honestly I would not be surprised if he wanted to sport some random hair colour like that.

They do make wash-out colours like that, that just spray in like hair spray but can be pink, red, blue, etc. Maybe you should surprise him with a can of that instead lol.

I'm reminded of the old guy

I'm reminded of the old guy who was staring at a multi-colored hair-do on a young teen girl at a mall. Soon she tired of him staring and called him out.

He apologized saying that about 15 years ago he got drunk and went to the zoo and screwed a peacock and was just wondering if maybe she was his daughter.

Sounds like fun to me. It

Sounds like fun to me. It will make for a fun story to tell the grandkids when he's older.

I would be all for it if he agreed to shave his head after the concert. Bald men are sexy.

He can either a) cut his hair

He can either a) cut his hair short after the concert or b) dye it back to an original color after the concert.

Sally's has spray in hair color that washes out in 1-2 washes, my kids use it all the time for soccer tournaments. Suggest that to him.

Keep calm and carry on...

Mapper, I feel so bad for

Mapper, I feel so bad for you. You could do so much better than this guy. So, now he's taking his new girlfriend to a Metallica concert? That would be really cool...if he wasn't 44, and married, and his date wasn't his daughter.

Respectfully, I suggest that you devote your time to developing ouside interests & self improvement. Your marriage sounds like a one way street.
