Sandy snot and Camels

It is hilarious what boys find interesting and how they respond. I wrote the boys letters and guess what? They wrote back! The mail service is surprisingly quick. Last time I was over on this side of the planet, it took two months to get mail.
At any rate, I am happy SS8 wrote a letter because I was so afraid of his school work declining. BM doesn't do homework with them so it is something I am afraid we will have to restimulate. MIL went to their house to pick them up and she said SS8 was in his room writing away. I LOVE THAT KID!
He writes "I want to go see camels. Is it true you have sand in your boogers? Dad said it is okay to pick your nose when that happens."
I need to talk to DH about that. Laughing out loud

aw...i am so happy for you!

Yep, He's ALL BOY...LOL...

Hi Cactus,
Yeppers, He's a kid of the Old School, Mine would say something like that, for that matter I would have at that age...LOL

We Appreciate You and DH, as well as All Our Boys and Girls, Keeping The World Safe From Terror Rags, especially those of Us Who Wish We were still in, I would have had My 20 in two years ago in just 2 weeks from today...God, That Thought MAKES ME FEEL ANCIENT...even if I did sign up at 17...

Steve

I am so glad you heard from them.

My son is in Iraq. I know how important it is to the soldiers to hear from home and especially from your kids. I know you worry about what you are going home to. Please try not to focus on that too much Cactus. Get home safe and take things one day at a time. That is the one thing you can do for your skids. Obviously they are crazy about you.

That's so great!

My kids were pretty young that last time their dad deployed, so they just drew him pictures and stuff, but one thing my son really loved was getting packages that hubby would send them. He thought it was so cool that every box had sand in it and it was dirt from another country. He wanted to save it! BOYS! ;o)
