That white stuff

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2-1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
  • 1/2 container of sour cream ( 8 oz or so )
  • some milk ( maybe 1/4 cup )
  • 1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch dry mix ( I like to use the buttermilk recipe)
  • 1 pkg extra wide egg noodles
  • 1/4 stick of butter
Cooking Instructions
Brown ground beef , drain & rinse
add cream cheese, milk & butter. cook on medium heat till cream cheese is melted. Add sour cream and HVR stir well simmer .
Boil egg noodles 10-12 min. I do this while i'm melting the cream cheese it takes bout that long. Drain noodles , return to boiling pot, pour beef mixture over the noodles
Notes
This is what my kids call this dish, it started out to be stroganoff but i just had to use things i had on hand one day and this is what happened, it is one of our favorite meals!! I serve it with corn and bread and butter. MY kids mix the corn with it and make sandwiches out of it ... good and quick!

Was wonderful

Just had to say that I tried this... and it was wonderful. Great flavor. I did add some chopped (really fine) onions and mushrooms.
