And it is happening again...over a month before SD21 birthday and she informs him how much money she wants for her birthday so he can pay part of her bills now that she up and walked out on her job of 7 years. And he is happy to do it...oy. I wonder if it will get better ever.

one sd always punished her father (she lived in another state) for months when he did not comply with her demands.
hed call every week without fail and leave messages in a whiny begging voice. "hello sweetie its dad. just calling to say i am thinking of you. give me a call. i love you and miss you so much."
divorced fathers misplace their testicles. make sure its his own money he is using and not yours. if you are not working his income is still community peoperty and your should have a say where it goes.

I never thought of it as community property. I am very independent...don't need much of his income to survive. That makes a good point.

how much you make is not the issue. if its community property, and wages usually are, you have a say in where it goes.
