Step kid weirdness?

Just curious if this is just me thinking this is weird or if you agree. To a set of the month my skid stays with his BM because DH works out of town. Skid will drop by our house in the mornings a lot of times to quickly brush skids teeth, it just seems weird . Do you think it seems weird or am I just searching ?

I'd ask him why he is doing it; then perhaps you'll be able to find ways to stop this (e.g., buy him his own toothbrush and toothpaste for BMs).

BM wants to check if you have anyone with you in the morning. Nothing weird about it. Just another stupid sneaky pathetic excuse to spy on you Smile

It may be simply that he doesn't have his own set of toiletries at bms. I would buy him a tooth brush, toothpaste, brush,body wash, and shampoo. I would put it in a travel case so he can easily take it.

Doesn't sound weird,swooned like he may have everything he needs at his dad's or simply misses his dad's home.

I think it seems weird because you don't know WHY he is doing it. I first read your post and thought so too and then when I read the responses they seem like valid reasons he may be stopping by.
Maybe casually ask him next time, do you need some new stuff for your mom's house or do you just miss dad's?

Yeah I will do that. It's just hard to trust SKID because SKID lies all the time so I jump to the negative thoughts first.

Very weird indeed. I would definitely casually ask him why and see what he says. You will be able to tell if he is acting shifty, in other words, using this as an excuse to check up on you. Buy him a new toothbrush and toothpaste and by giving it to him, that will be the opener for the conversation to start. Interesting indeed.

Definitely need to do that! Just tired of SKID doing nothing at our house and when I do, DH acts like I am picking on SKID and helps SKID.

This makes me feel like he was out all night and not where he told mom he was going to be (at a friends house) and was out partying it up

Or I agree with the posts that he might be doing it just to stop in and be an annoying spy

I have also wondered where she thought skid was at. She and I do not have that type of relationship where I can just call her about something like that. Not full of hate or anything, just not that close. I have talked to DH about skid and who knows where skid is, does skid have a certain time to be home at BM, where does skid go? Does anyone ever check on skid!!

Ok in high school my best friends parents were never together and we would do things like what you are describing. We would be out all night then stop by her Moms house to shower and stuff before going to her Dads when he thought we were at my house. I think your ss might be out partying or staying with a girl.

Maybe he's HOPING to catch you naked again. Gross I know but he is a 17 yr old boy after all and if you're the least bit attractive who knows what's running through his little hormonal mind.
