To Do...

DP has quite a lot on his plate. Most of this is his idea..

* Have SDs strip the sheets off their beds so HE can wash them. He was shocked, *shocked* to hear that they hadn't been washed since we moved in the end of May. I won't touch them.

* Help SD11 finish painting her dresser that's half done in the garage as a father/daughter joint effort. I told him if it wasn't out by the end of August I will get rid of it. It was her idea, she needs to finish it.

* Don't let girls "sleep in" until 11:30 a.m.

...he'll have to have them clean their bathroom again since we are having a party on Saturday...fun times! SD11 hasn't lifted a finger to clean anything in that house and threw a fit when DP told her to clean her room a couple weeks ago...

I am doing so well, staying out of it!

I've got the guest room almost re-done and DP has been told by me that if this one certain planting isn't taken care of by the end of August (was to be done in early June) then I will be hiring someone to do it with no uncertainty.

Yay me! Feels good. Dirol

Ha! I get home. Kids shoes all over the entry way. I throw them outside. If they aren't on the deck, in the hall closet or your room I toss them outside.

Kitchen a mess. Ice cream on the floor. I sigh.
DP gets all "you know I am stressed and can't do everything blah blah blah." I let him finish.
All I say is, "you know the girls need to clean up after themselves. That's it. We are not their maids. They are not 5 years old."

I wal away to go work on guest room. DP is in charge of dinner. Of course SD9 friend is here too. Of course!!

Funny how he was complaining last week about not seeing them enough then two days into it is totally overwhelmed. I know he has to work. Hire someone to take care of kids! Easy! God!

haha.,... SD17 lived with us for 2 years and her sheets got washed ONCE during that time and only because DH washed them because she had some type of bugs in there. Funny how in our nearly 3000 square foot home, the ONLY place these "bugs" were was SD17 room? Of course DH got pissed when I mentioned that. Whatever. So glad she is gone! We had the carpets cleaned, and the room looks perfect but the weird thing is? It still smells like HER in there. Sad

Oh man, I can see that coming.
The only way to get rid of smells like that is remove all carpeting and curtains and repaint. Big job. But might be a good mental thing to do...
