Late fathers day present

My laugh of the day last Tuesday. Last weekend, I go camping with our BD 11 and get a text from my wife that the SS20 kitten is at the house just for a few hours. My spidey senses are tingly. Turns out he can't look after it anymore. Surprise surprise as he can't even look after himself. Course I wasn't told this til I arrive on Father's day. Our friends who were looking for a kitten took the kitten as it wasn't an option at our house. We already have 3 pets and the cat is old and has put up with too many new pets in the past. Anyways, I woke up to flea bites on my body Tuesday. I tell my wife. Hey, he got me something for Father's Day after all. She says really what. As I proceeded to show here all my bite marks. Too funny.

We moved into a new house. The prior tenants had cats. The house was vacant for 2 weeks before we moved in. Needless to say those fleas were starving for something to eat! My youngest son was covered in bites. He had over 60 bites. We didn't have pets. The landlord had the audacity to say that his prior tenants 2 cats did not have fleas and that my kids must have had them before moving in therefore causing an infestation. Can you imagine that! The house was infested and he blamed my sons! We were all covered in bites. We had to move my kids to my moms for 2 months while my DH and I suffered through the infestation. It took 3 months to irradiate the problem.
Our landlord was an ass. Humans don't carry fleas.
Sounds like you are good natured about this. I would be furious!
Happy Fathers Day!

no good deed goes unpunished. dh and i are talking care of a family members dog and i am very allergic to cats. this dog is very shaggy and must have brought in a bushel of the dander from the familys cats.

nice. i am now sneezing my backside off. the family did not even bother to bathe the dog before bringing him over.
