Hi all, I'm new here. Married for about 2.5 years to my sweetheart with SS18, BD14, SS12, and SS10 with a BM who calls the oldest retarded to EVERYONE in addition to many other lovely traits.

In two weeks we are headed to Disneyland with everyone but SS18. I love Disney and have been to land and world lots. This will be the skids first trip. I am NOT looking forward to it at all. I really want to be supportive of DH enjoying the trip with his kids but, ugh, I just do not want to go with them.

Any advice on how to disengage but still support my hubby?

I ended up on this site because of a trip to Disney World with the stepkids. Oh yes. I live in Florida. I love Disney. We had annual passes, my three kids at the time and I. It was my psuedo step (I call them psuedo cause I ain't married to their dad) birthday. I think she was turning 12. She asked me for a trip to Disney with a friend. Her dad wanted her sister to come. Sister was 14 at the time, I think. Anyway, I paid for the whole trip. Including two hotel rooms side by side at the Caribbean Beach hotel so SD whose birthday it was could have her own room with her friend and we crammed into the other room.

The whole trip was pretty much "I need alone time with daddy" and then they would go off with their dad to break fast or lunch or to Downtown Disney and I never said I word. I was fine with little daddy daughter sections of the day or days, no problemo.

But I had made reservations for the Rain Forest Cafe for dinner. THey even picked out the dresses for and with my little girls to wear to dinner. We were swimming a the pool when older step daughter and daddy swim up to me and say.... "Don't be mad... but, we want to go to Rain Forest Cafe for dinner still. WE just don't want you to go. Or your kids. Just us family. Oh and the friend we bought."

And yes I did get pissed. And I sat on a hammock at the resort on my ipad frantically typing away on step talk getting madder and madder and madder and then daddy came up to tell me how unreasonable I was being and that they just wanted daddy daughter time. And I said they were rude as hell to treat me and my little girls this way after I paid for the stupid trip and we broke up right there at Disney World.

Really it was the worst trip ever and I love Disney. He did whateer they wanted to do. We bounced back and forth literally from one side of the park to the other going only to Space Mountain to Splash Mountain to SPace Mountain and to Splash Mountain. And God Forbid when I wanted to meet the Queen of Hearts and there was no line. They were so rude. And entitled. We got in a fight over a pretzel.

I'll never go to Disney with them ever again. Nope. This year she says she wants me to take her to Universal Studios. And a friend too. Oh hell no. Not on my dime. Not ever again.

Holy cow No Wire! That sounds like total hell!

Snoopy Step I really hope I get a trip like yours. I already have a stomach just thinking about the 5 hour car ride and shared hotel room.
